A band of rain will be edging into central areas today, with drier conditions to its north and south. The outlook remains quite mixed, with the wettest conditions in the north and west. It is likely to turn warm at times, particularly in southern and central Britain.

Rain spreading southwards

A band of rain in the north slowly pushes into central areas and becomes more fragmented. Brighter and showery conditions follow to its north. In the south, it stays dry with sunny spells.

Temperatures range from 14°C in the north west to 24°C in the south east. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Outbreaks of rain slowly move into the south, and there could be some heavy bursts mixed in. Drier conditions return to central areas, while the north has clear periods. It will be chilly in Scotland, where ground frost is possible.
