Heavy rain pushes northwards

Heavy and thundery outbreaks of rain push northwards across England and Wales. They have the potential to bring surface flooding in places. Brighter conditions return behind them, but there will be further showers in Wales and south western England. Scotland and Northern Ireland remain mostly dry.

Temperatures range from 19°C to 26°C, with the highest values probably in East Anglia this afternoon. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.
