Hot weather on the way back? By Brian Gaze [Published 06:20 15/06/2026] Computer models are increasingly suggesting that hot weather could return later this week, at least in southern Britain. However, it is still too early to be certain. The weekend just gone was cooler and cloudier than had been signalled at this stage last week. Therefore, it will be a little while before confidence increases and the outlook becomes clearer. 14 day weather forecast video Issued 9th June 2026 Rain in places Scattered but heavy showers will affect England and Wales this morning. They clear, leaving sunny spells, but more persistent outbreaks of rain push across Northern Ireland and into northern Britain through the second half of the day. Sunny spells follow and it becomes warm, in southern and central counties temperatures climb into the mid 20Cs. Outlook: Changeable conditions continue in the north west. However, in the rest of the UK there should be a good deal of dry and sunny weather. There are increasing signs of it turning hot in central and eastern counties.
