Heavy outbreaks of rain push eastwards across southern and central areas this morning. In the afternoon more showery conditions steadily return from the west. Northern areas also have outbreaks of rain, although these will generally be patchier. Windy in southern Britain.

Tonight:
Drier conditions return in much of the UK. However, there will be showery spells of rain in Northern Ireland and north western Britain.

Tomorrow:
Mostly dry in southern, central and eastern England. In other areas there will be showers, and through the day a band of rain pushes southeastwards across the northern half of the UK, reaching Wales and northern England by the evening. Windy.

Monday: A band of heavy rain slowly moves southeastwards across England and Wales. It may not clear the south east and East Anglia until the evening. Showery conditions follow behind it. Rather cool.

Outlook: Changeable weather is expected to continue, bringing further showers and longer spells of rain. At times it could be windy for the time of year, and temperatures are likely to remain close to or slightly below average. The south east can expect the best of any drier and warmer interludes.
