Tonight:Clear periods could allow temperatures to dip low enough for a touch of ground frost in northern Britain. In the south it remains quite windy, and there is a risk of rain in the far southwest later on.

Tomorrow:Dry and warm across most of the UK. The exception is the south west where thicker cloud is likely to bring outbreaks of rain at times.

Thursday: Rain continues to be a risk in the south west. Elsewhere it will be dry and in the afternoon sun it becomes very warm.
Outlook: On Friday showers could develop, particularly in the west and southwest. However, in much of the UK it will remain dry and sunny, with some computer models indicating the potential for very warm conditions for the time of year. Through the bank holiday weekend temperatures are expected to steadily drop, and the risk of showery rain will increase.
