Warm in England and Wales

Outbreaks of rain in central and northern Britain steadily clear eastwards. The south will be mostly dry and bright, and as the day progresses sunny spells develop more widely. However, it is likely to remain cloudier in the north, and a band of heavy showery rain pushes across Northern Ireland and western Scotland.

Temperatures range from 16°C in the north west to 27°C in the south east. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tuesday: Showery rain is likely in northern and central areas. In the south showers will be scattered. Despite sunny spells developing quite widely, it will feel rather cool.

Outlook: Rather cool conditions are likely, particularly in the north. All areas could see showers or longer spells of rain, with the wettest periods in the west. However, there should be a good deal of dry weather in the south and east, where amounts of rain will generally be small.
