Temperatures dip on Monday before quickly climbing again, with heatwave conditions likely to develop. Showers are also possible in other northern and western parts of the UK. Elsewhere, it will be dry with sunny periods. The warmth is expected to extend northwards for a time, with temperatures in Scotland climbing into the mid-20s°C. However, it is likely to remain more changeable in the north-west..
