Hot weather set to return

Fine in much of the UK

Showers in central parts of the UK fade away, leaving sunny spells across much of the country. However, there will be outbreaks of rain in northern and western Scotland, and isolated light showers in the south eastern corner are possible.

Temperatures range from 12°C in northern Scotland to 26°C in the south east. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight:
Persistent and heavy spells of rain push across northern and western Scotland. Patchy rain is also possible in other parts of the north at times. In England and Wales it remains dry with clear spells. 

Tomorrow:
Outbreaks of rain in the northern half of the UK, heavy in western Scotland. There could also be showery rain in Wales, but in most of the southern half of the UK it will be dry, bright and very warm.

Sunday: A band of heavy rain is likely to be slow moving over Northern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland. Areas to its south have a sunny and hot day with temperatures pushing well above 30C. Cool and showery in northern Scotland.

Outlook: Somewhat cooler air pushes down across the UK early on but it remains mainly dry in the south. Temperatures quickly climb again and it become hot or even very hot in southern and central regions. In the north and especially the north west it remains more changeable.
