Sunny spells but showers in the north

Much of the UK has another dry day but it will be fresher than recently in the south. In the north scattered showers develop. Through the weekend temperatures will continue to rise, with very warm to hot conditions across southern and central areas on Sunday.

Cloudy conditions pushing southwards

Southern and central areas have a dry day with sunny periods. In the north there will be showers, some of which could be quite heavy, but also bright spells.

Cooler than recently in the south. Temperatures range from 15°C in the north west to 25°C in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Showers in the north become more scattered, and increasingly confined to northern and western Scotland.
Southern and central Britain remain dry with clear spells..

Tomorrow:
Heavy showery spells of rain are likely in northern Scotland. The rest of the UK has a dry and sunny day. Quite warm, especially in the south.

Sunday: A few showers are possible in Scotland, especially early on. Other areas will be dry with sunny periods, but in the afternoon outbreaks of rain start pushing across Northern Ireland and into parts of western Britain. Very warm or hot in much of southern Britain.

Outlook: Early next week changeable conditions are expected. Showery spells of rain are possible, but in the south it may stay mostly dry and hot.
