More mixed weekend with rain in places

Rain spreads southwards

Outbreaks of rain become increasingly patchy as they push southwards. By mid-afternoon they will be affecting northern England and Wales. Ahead of them it remains dry, bright and very warm or hot. To the north sunny spells develop and it will be fresher.

Temperatures range from 16°C in the far north west to 29°C in the south east and East Anglia, with 30°C possibly recorded in one or two locations. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight:
Another area of showery rain pushes southeastwards across much of the UK. Some heavy bursts are likely to be mixed in, but in much of the south and East Anglia it remains dry. 

Tomorrow:
Showery rain spreads southeastwards before steadily clearing, with brighter conditions following. There could be a few heavy bursts mixed in; however, much of the south is expected to see only small rainfall amounts. In the north further showers develop.

Monday: Outbreaks of rain spread eastwards across the northern half of the UK. The south has a dry, bright and very warm day.

Outlook: Spells of wet and rather windy weather continue to affect the north. Southern and central regions have a good deal of fine weather and it becomes increasingly hot. Temperatures could reach the mid 30°Cs by Wednesday or Thursday. However, there is uncertainty about the longevity of the potential heat.
