The south has another dry and sunny day. The temperature profile will be a little different from recent days, with exceptionally hot conditions focused on central and eastern England. In the north and west, temperatures will generally be lower than recently. Note: Merryfield, Somerset reported 36.7°C yesterday, surpassing the previous June temperature record set a day earlier.
