Computer models suggest temperatures will reach between 37°C and 40°C, leading to a new June record which currently stands at 35.6°C and was set in the famous summer of 1976. Sunny spells develop widely and it becomes warm in the north and hot in the south. Temperatures range from 18°C in the far north west to 34°C in the south.
