After a chilly start, warm sunny periods develop in most of the UK today. The settled period will continue tomorrow and through the weekend, with daytime temperatures edging upwards. Early next week the possibility of showers could briefly increase, but for most of the time high pressure is expected to remain dominant.

All of the UK has a fine day with sunny periods. It becomes warm this afternoon in most areas, although rather windy conditions in the south west and cloudier skies at times near the east coast make it feel cooler there.
Temperatures range from 12°C in eastern coastal locations to 21°C in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tomorrow:All of the UK can expect a dry day. In eastern coastal counties cloudier skies are likely, but elsewhere long sunny periods develop. It will be warm, apart from near the east coast.

Saturday: Fine across the UK. In the afternoon it becomes warm again. Temperatures could reach 22°C in places.
Outlook: On Sunday thicker cloud may bring a few spots of rain to the far north. The rest of the UK has another fine and warm day after a chilly start. Early next week the risk of showers could briefly increase, but in general a good deal of dry weather is forecast. It will remain quite warm during the days, particularly in the south and west.
