Forecast details for the Easter period are still firming up, but the likelihood is that changeable weather will dominate. Therefore, all regions are likely to see showers or longer spells of rain at times. In the shorter term it will be turning warmer, with temperatures possibly reaching 18°C tomorrow.

Showers in central and northern regions become more scattered as the day progresses. In the south it remains mostly dry and all of the UK will have sunny spells.

Tonight:Cloud and showery rain moves eastwards across all areas. After a chilly start in central and eastern areas temperatures pick up as the cloud builds.

Tomorrow:Showery rain steadily clears eastwards. Sunny spells develop and in the afternoon it will become quite warm, temperatures peak close to 17C in southern and eastern counties.

Wednesday: Outbreaks of rain fragment as they move down across the northern half of the UK. Southern and central areas remains dry and bright. In sunny spells it will feel pleasant.
Outlook: Quite changeable. The risk of showers or longer spells of rain remains in all regions, but there will be dry periods too. The wettest conditions will generally be focused on the north and west of the UK.
