All of the UK will have a cold and blustery day. Showers develop widely, and many of them will be wintry. Tonight, frost develops widely, with the lowest temperatures likely in northern Britain. The changeable theme continues in the coming days.

All of the UK has a cold and windy day. There will be showers in all areas, heavy at times, and some with a wintry flavour. Snow is most likely over high ground in the north, but even in the south there could be a few flakes mixed in at times.
Temperatures range from 5°C in the far north to 11°C in near the south coast. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight:Wintry showers steadily fade away. Temperatures drop under clearing skies, and a penetrating frost develops across much of the UK.

Tomorrow:Outbreaks of rain spread across Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England during the day. Over the mountains snow is possible. Southern and central areas have a dry and bright day, but temperatures remain on the low side.

Friday: Outbreaks of rain push southeastwards, probably not clearing the southeast and East Anglia until well into the night. Brighter conditions follow, but showers develop in the north and over high ground in Scotland they fall as sleet or snow.
Outlook: Changeable conditions continue across the UK. High pressure centred to the southwest will have an influence at times in southern and central regions. Temperatures fluctuate.
