Showers 

Flooding in parts of the west

Outbreaks of rain affect much of the UK this morning. In the afternoon the rain is likely to ease in East Anglia and the south eastern corner. Also, brighter conditions return to Scotland and Northern Ireland. However, the rain in Wales and south western England remains heavy and persistent, leading to flooding in places. It will also be windy in England and Wales with coastal gales.

Temperatures range from 5°C in northern Scotland to a very mild 13°C in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up-to-date view.

Tonight:
Wet weather clears eastwards and clear periods develop. By the end of the night it will be dry in most areas, although showers push into the west. Winds steadily ease.  

Tomorrow:
All regions have sunny spells. However, showers develop in the west and south, probably becoming heavy in the south west. Temperatures will be close to the norm. Windy in the north west.

Changeable outlook

Wednesday: Much of the UK has a bright day, but there will be showers in the west for a time. In the afternoon and evening cloud builds from the west and outbreaks of rain push into Northern Ireland. Temperatures will be close to the norm. 

Outlook: Changeable. Temperatures fluctuate around the norm and all areas could have showers or longer spells of rain at times. There is also the potential for strong winds.
