Christmas Day will be mild and dry in much of the UK, but northern and western Scotland have wetter conditions at times. Boxing Day brings a repeat performance to southern and central regions, but rain is likely to be more widespread in the north. Have a wonderful Christmas! Christmas Day will be dry and mild in most of the UK with bright spells developing in some areas. The exceptions will be western Scotland where patchy drizzle continues, and later on outbreaks of rain spread into the far north. Windy in the north.

Tonight outbreaks of rain push southwards across Scotland and Northern Ireland. England and Wales remain dry.
Boxing Day will be dry and mild in England and Wales. Southern and central Scotland, as well as Northern Ireland, will see further outbreaks of rain. The far north should be mostly dry.

The next few days are looking mixed. All areas could see rain at times, but amounts in the south will be small. In the southern half of the UK it stays mild, but colder air begins pushing into the north. Showers in Scotland become increasingly wintry, and it could be very windy at times in the north.
