Showery rain continues to affect the south east today. In other areas it will be mostly dry, with the brightest and warmest conditions in the west. It's a similar picture tomorrow, but during the second half of the week things change as winds switch to more of a westerly direction and low pressure returns. Tuesday starts damp in southern and central regions. In the north clear spells overnight have led to a patchy frost.
Through the day, showery rain remains a risk in southern Britain, particularly in the south east. Other areas dry and sunny spells develop. Near the east coast it will be quite windy.

Tonight there could be showery rain in southern and central counties. However, it will be dry in most of the UK and in the north clear periods lead to quite a widespread frost.
Tomorrow should be dry and bright across the most of the UK, with just a few isolated showers. Temperatures remain on the low side for late April.
Thursday looks like it will bring a mix of sunny spells and showers to most of Britain. The showers could turn heavy and over high ground in the north sleet or snow is possible. In Northern Ireland there is a risk of patchy outbreaks of rain developing.
Friday looks mixed with sunny spells and showers, some of which could be heavy in the north and west. With winds coming from more of a westerly direction the highest temperatures for a change are likely to be in the south east and East Anglia.
Forecast details for Saturday are uncertain, but a deep area of low pressure is expected to be close to the south of the UK. That suggests a chance of heavy showers or longer spells of rain, particularly in the southern half of the UK.
