Outbreaks of rain clearing eastwards

A band of rain will clear eastwards today, with bright skies following behind it. The next few days remain quite mixed, but the risk of rain will mostly be in the north and west. In fact, medium range computer models are signalling a fairly benign picture in the early part of October.

A band of rain steadily clears eastwards, but it may linger and pep up this afternoon in the south east. Brighter conditions follow, but showers develop in the west. It will be quite windy, particularly in the north west.

Temperatures range from 14°C in the north to 22°C in East Anglia. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight:
Any remaining outbreaks of rain in the south east move away, leaving dry conditions in much of the UK. However, there will be scattered showers in the west.

Tomorrow:
A dry day with sunny spells for many, but there will be scattered showers in the north and west. More persistent spells of rain could push into Northern Ireland and south western Britain in the afternoon.

Friday: Outbreaks of rain spread across the northern half of the UK, possibly extending into northern Wales too. Other areas will be dry and bright. Warm in central and eastern counties.

Outlook: Some rain is likely, particularly in the north and west. However, high pressure building from the south is expected to bring another period of increasingly settled conditions, at least in southern and central regions. In sunny spells, it will feel quite warm.
