Dry and bright in much of the UK

Most areas will be dry today, but tomorrow it turns wet and windy in the north and west. The outlook is mixed, with drier weather returning on Monday, but a deep area of low pressure in the Atlantic is likely to bring more unsettled conditions by midweek.

Fine in most of the UK

Scattered showers affect northern and eastern areas. Elsewhere, it will be dry with sunny spells, and although it won't be as warm as recently in the south, it will still feel pleasant. Windy in the north west.

Tonight:
Scattered showers continue in the north and west. By the morning outbreaks of rain could be affecting western Wales, as well as parts of the north west. Other areas remain dry.

Tomorrow:
Heavy spells of rain push across much of the north and west. Central and eastern counties of England remain dry and rather warm. Windy, particularly in Wales and north western England.

Monday: North western areas have showers, but elsewhere it will be dry. Temperatures in the south and east will be a little lower than recently.

Outlook: Many places have dry conditions on Tuesday, and there is the potential for it to turn very warm in southern and central areas. However, it becomes very windy in the west, and outbreaks of rain begin pushing in from the Atlantic. In the following days, a rather unsettled pattern develops, leading to the potential for showers, longer spells of rain and strong winds in all regions.
