Warmer weather early in the week

Much of the UK has a dry and bright Sunday. Warmer conditions develop tomorrow, with temperatures approaching the mid-20s in the south. Tuesday also looks warm, but wet weather could spread across much of the country on Wednesday.

Mostly dry and bright

Showers affect northern parts of the UK this morning but they steadily fade away. Southern and central areas have a dry day with sunny spells.

Temperatures range from 10°C in the north west to 20°C in the south east. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight:
Outbreaks of rain spread across Northern Ireland and the northern half of Britain. There could also be some patchy rain in western Wales, but in other areas it stays dry. Clear periods in the south east and East Anglia allow it to become quite chilly.

Tomorrow:
Outbreaks of rain in Scotland steadily clear. In the west thicker cloud may bring a few showers, but central and eastern areas can expect a dry, bright and warm day. Temperatures in southern and central regions push up towards the mid 20Cs.

Tuesday: A few showers are likely but much of the UK has a dry, sunny and warm day. However, in the north west cloud thickens and outbreaks of rain develop.

Outlook: Rather changeable conditions are likely to return. Therefore, the chance of wet spells increases, and Wednesday could bring a period of heavy rain to much of the UK. However, rainfall amounts in the south probably remain small. Temperatures dip back towards the late September average.
