Cool and bright cycle ride this morning. Posted by toppiker60

Outbreaks of rain affect much of the UK today, giving an autumnal feel to the weather. However, high pressure is still expected to build from the south in the coming days, bringing a more settled and increasingly warm period. How long the fine spell lasts and just how warm it becomes, remain uncertain.

Sunday: A good deal of dry and bright weather is expected, although a few showers are likely. Also, cloud and outbreaks of rain are likely to push across Northern Ireland and into Wales and north western England through the second half of the day.

Outlook: High pressure builds northwards, leading to more settled conditions, particularly in southern and central areas. Despite that, some rain is likely at times, especially in the north and west. Temperatures climb and there is the potential for it to become very warm for September.
