Rain steadily clearing from the south

Wet weather in the south eases today, while central and northern areas will be mostly dry and bright. The mixed theme continues over the next few days. The driest and warmest conditions will be in the southern half of the UK, where temperatures could reach 26°C tomorrow.

Rain clearing south

Outbreaks of rain in the south steadily ease and brighter conditions return. Central and northern areas have a mostly dry day with sunny spells and just a few scattered showers.

Temperatures range from 14°C in the north west to 24°C in the south east. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Patchy outbreaks of rain push into the north west. Elsewhere it will be mainly dry, but there could be a few showers in the south and west. Muggy in southern and central areas.

Outbreaks of rain become heavy in Northern Ireland and northwestern Britain. It will be fine and warm elsewhere, with temperatures locally reaching 26°C.

Tuesday: A band of cloud and rain clears southwards. Cooler and brighter conditions follow, but showers develop in the north.

Outlook: Mixed. Showers or longer spells of rain are likely, particularly in the north and west. In the south amounts of rain will probably be quite small. Temperatures become close to the mid September norm.
