Heat dissipates this weekend but it stays dry By Brian Gaze [Published 06:50 16/07/2026] The rest of the week will bring a lot of fine weather, with hot conditions persisting in the south today and tomorrow. However, this weekend cooler air pushes southwards, bringing more cloud and perhaps a few spots of rain. Nonetheless, the emphasis remains on dry conditions, and many places can expect no measurable rainfall over the next week. 14 day weather forecast video Issued 14th July 2026 Fine and hot weather Isolated showers are possible in the south west and in Scotland, but most of the UK has another dry day. Low cloud in central and eastern areas steadily lifts, leaving widespread sunny periods. Temperatures range from 18°C in the north east to 31°C in the south.
