The long hot summer continues By Brian Gaze [Published 06:20 15/07/2026] The Central England Temperature (CET) is currently running a massive 4°C to 5°C above the different 30-year series that are normally used for comparison. With heatwaves in May and June, and more warmth on the way, this is turning into an extraordinary period of weather. However, there will be changes by the weekend as cooler air moves southwards and temperatures dip. 14 day weather forecast video Issued 14th July 2026 Fine weather continues Isolated showers are possible in the south west, but the rest of the UK has another dry day. Low cloud in central and eastern areas steadily lifts, leaving widespread sunny periods. Temperatures range from 18°C in the north east to 31°C in the south.
