The week starts with quiet weather and, in the short term not much will change. However, as we head into the New Year a potent Arctic plunge is expected to develop, bringing the potential for a spell of severe wintry weather. At this stage, it’s not possible to be confident about the risk of disruptive snow, but it is something to keep an eye on as forecast details begin to firm up in the coming days.
