The weather in the coming days will be a lot more mixed than it has been for much of the summer. Areas of low pressure pushing in from the Atlantic will bring showers, longer spells of rain, and strong winds at times. Temperatures will dip towards the seasonal average.

A band of rain pushes eastwards across the UK. It will be heavy initially, but the outbreaks of rain turn more showery as the push into central Britain. In south eastern England and East Anglia it is expected to remain dry until the late afternoon. Quite windy.
Temperatures range from 16°C to 24°C. The highest values will be in generally be in East Anglia. Check the recently upgraded weather radar for the most up-to-date view.

Tonight:Outbreaks of rain steadily clear from northern and eastern counties. Clear periods follow, but there will be further showery rain in the west.
Tomorrow:The unsettled weather continues. Showers are possible across much of the UK, but they are likely to be heaviest and most frequent in the west. It will be rather windy, with temperatures close to the seasonal average.

Friday:
Showers are expected to be most frequent in northern Britain, and at times they could be heavy and prolonged. In the south, there should be a good deal of dry and bright weather.
Outlook:
Showers or longer spells of rain are possible across all areas in the coming days, and it may be windy at times. Nonetheless, there will still be periods of dry and bright weather. On Saturday, a band of heavy rain and strong winds is likely to push eastwards, bringing significant rainfall to all areas.
