High pressure is likely to keep the settled weather going for the rest of the week. However, there are signs it could turn more unsettled in the northwest on Bank Holiday Monday. In the days that follow, the chance of wet and windy periods may become more widespread.

The day starts with low cloud in places, and in places it is producing some light rain. The cloud steadily breaks, leading to sunny spells developing quite widely. It will be quite blustery in central and eastern England.

Tonight:It remains dry. Clear periods lead to quite a cool night, particularly in northern Britain.
Tomorrow:A very similar day is expected, with sunny periods developing as low cloud lifts. It will be quite windy in the east. In the afternoon thicker cloud may begin pushing into Northern Ireland.

Friday:
Another dry day is forecast. Cloud amounts vary, but there should be a reasonable amount of sunshine. Temperatures could be slightly higher than recently.
Outlook:
High pressure is expected to keep the settled spell going during the Bank Holiday weekend, with temperatures rising. On Bank Holiday Monday, wet and windy conditions could push into the northwest. In the following days the risk of rain is likely to become more widespread.
