There will be showery rain in parts of the UK today, but many areas remain dry. In the coming days the risk of rain increasingly becomes confined to the northwest, with much of the UK experiencing a good deal of fine weather. Temperatures rise and there is the potential for it to become very warm or even hot again.

Showery outbreaks of rain fade away as they move eastwards across southern and central regions through the day. Brighter skies follow from the west. In northern areas there will be sunny spells and scattered showers. Blustery.

Tonight:In most areas it become dry. However, wet and windy conditions push across northern and western Scotland.
Tomorrow:Rain in the far north steadily clears, leaving dry conditions across the whole of the UK. Cloud amounts vary, but during sunny spells it will feel quite warm, particularly in central and eastern counties. Windy in the northwest.

Saturday:
A band of rain fades as it moves southeastwards across the northern half of the UK, with showery conditions following behind. In southern and central regions it will be dry, bright and warm. Temperatures in the southeast could reach 27°C.
Outlook:
A good deal of fine weather is expected in the coming days, although the north may remain more changeable, with an increased risk of showery rain. Temperatures rise and it could become hot in the southern half of the UK. However, there is a risk of thundery showers developing at times.
