Fine and sunny in June. Posted by Brian Gaze

Most of the UK will be fine today. Tomorrow, wet conditions extend across much of the north and west of the UK. Beyond that a lot of dry weather is expected and there continue to be indications of it turning very warm or hot as we head into next week. There is a chance of 30°C being reached for the first time this summer. (If you would like to browse the website without adverts and contribute to its ongoing development, explore the payment options, see below)

Hot next week?

The next few days are expected to bring a lot of dry weather, although there is a risk of rain in the north west at times. Also, there could be some patchy rain in the east at the start of the period. In sunny spells it will become warm, particularly in the south.

Early next week it could turn very warm or hot as high pressure becomes centred to the east of the UK and a southwesterly or southerly flow develops. However, there is uncertainty and the pattern could break down quite quickly, with heavy and thundery showers returning.
