Tonight the showers fade away and clear spells develop in much of the UK. In the northern half of the UK it will be cold for the time of the year. A ground frost is possible locally in Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Tomorrow, patchy outbreaks of rain affect northern Scotland, but the rest of the UK remains dry and bright. Temperatures will generally be a little higher than today's.

The following few days are expected to see more summery weather developing. At last!. There could be some rain in the north and west at times, but the emphasis is on sunny periods and rising temperatures. On Friday and Saturday values are likely to push into the mid 20Cs and it's possible that 27°C could be reached locally.
Is the fine weather here to stay? As ever, there is a good deal of uncertainty when looking further ahead. Nonetheless, several computer models are showing high pressure having a good deal of influence on the UK's weather next week.
