Tonight the showers become more scattered. However, more persistent outbreaks push southwards across Scotland, probably reaching Northern Ireland and the far north of England by the morning.
Tomorrow brings a mix of sunny spells and showers to most areas. However, in northern England longer outbreaks of rain are likely. Temperatures should be a little higher than today's.

The weather remains showery through the first half of next week. Beyond that, forecast confidence falls. High pressure may briefly build and bring drier conditions for a time. However, the most likely scenario is a continuation of the mixed weather.
