Heavy showers in the early evening. Posted by Brian Gaze

Outbreaks of rain spread northeastwards today, with brighter and showery conditions following them. Low pressure is still in charge of the weather, but through the coming days a change begins to take place. High pressure will start building in from the west and it holds out the promise of a drier and more settled period. (If you would like to browse the website without adverts and contribute to its ongoing development, explore the payment options, see below)

Drier and more settled

During the second half of the week showers become more scattered as high pressure starts to build in from the west. In the sun it will become quite warm, but with winds coming from the northerly quadrant temperatures on the whole won't be far from the seasonal norm. Mostly settled conditions are expected to continue through the weekend.
