Showers or longer spells of rain affect much of the UK today. Tomorrow brings a mix of sunny spells and showers, with some areas probably enjoying a dry bank holiday Monday. However, the unsettled theme continues into the following days with further rain at times.  (If you would like to browse the website without adverts and contribute to its ongoing development, explore the payment options, see below)

Weather forecast discussion

Sunday begins with areas of rain in central and northern Britain. Areas in between them are mostly dry.

As the day progresses the areas of rain will continue pushing northwards and become increasingly showery. In southern and central Britain warm sunny spells develop, but further heavy and possibly thundery showers break out. It will be quite blustery.

Temperatures range from 13°C in north west to 21°C in the south eastern corner. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, it becomes mostly dry in southern and eastern areas. However, in the west and particularly the north west heavy showery spells of rain continue.

The bank holiday tomorrow will see a mix of sunny spells and showers. Temperatures will generally be a little lower than today's and winds are likely to be quite blustery. Nonetheless, some places can expect to miss the showers and remain dry.

Showers or longer spells of rain

During the following days areas of low pressure remain close to the UK. Therefore, heavy and thundery showers or longer spells of rain affect all regions. Temperatures will be largely dependent on the amount of sunshine which develops. On the whole, values will probably be close to the seasonal average.
