Much of the UK has warm sunny spells today but the outlook for the coming week is a mixed one. An area of low pressure moving northwards out of continental Europe brings the risk of more widespread showers and longer spells of rain in the next few days. Monday starts dry across the UK. Sunny spells develop widely this morning and many places remain dry throughout the day. However, there will be a few showers in western parts of the UK and possibly the south east.
Temperatures range from 15°C in the north east to 23°C in the west. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight the risk of showers could become more widespread and some of them become heavy. Despite that, many places remain dry with clear spells.
Tomorrow heavy and thundery showers develop in southern and central Britain, as well as Northern Ireland. Northern England and Scotland should remain mostly dry. Temperatures generally a little lower than recently, although it will still be warm in sunny spells.
UK Met UKV, overview for Tuesday 21st May
During Wednesday wet and windy weather is expected to push northwards over much of central and eastern Britain. In much of the west it could remain drier.
Low pressure is forecast to be centred over the North Sea on Thursday. Therefore, outbreaks of rain continue to be a risk much of the UK.
Friday could see mostly dry weather. However, the risk of rain perhaps increases in Northern Ireland later on.
