Weather forecast discussion

Saturday starts with patchy outbreaks of rain in the south east and East Anglia. Elsewhere it is mostly dry.

This morning the wet conditions clear southwestwards, but further heavy showers develop in Wales and south western England. They continue this afternoon and at times they could be thundery. Scattered showers bubble-up in other areas but there will be a good deal of dry and bright periods.

Quite warm with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 23°C. The highest values will probably be in northern England and western Scotland. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

UKV 1
UK Met Office UKV, cloud and rain, 15:00 Saturday 18th May

Tonight the showers steadily fade away to leave mostly dry conditions. However, there is a risk of patchy rain pushing into northern Scotland.

Tomorrow showers are likely in north western England and Scotland. Other areas should be mainly dry and bright, although there could be a few scattered showers. Warm generally, but a northeasterly wind will keep it much cooler near to the east coast.

Showers remain a risk

Much of the UK remains dry on Monday, but there will be showers in the west. Temperatures a little lower than recently, especially in northern and eastern Britain.

On Tuesday sunny spells develop, but showers could become more widespread and heavy again. It remains quite warm.

Forecast details for Wednesday are very uncertain. There is a possibility of wet and windy weather pushing into eastern Britain. In the west it should stay dry and bright.
