Dry and mild in most of the UK

A band of rain will slowly push southwards over the next few days, weakening as it does so. High pressure is expected to dominate next week, bringing plenty of dry weather. However, temperatures are likely to dip after a mild start.

Outbreaks of rain push into the far north west at times today. In the rest of the UK it will be dry, with low cloud and patchy fog lifting to give sunny spells in places.

Temperatures range from 12°C to 17°C, with some of the highest values in north eastern Scotland. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight:
Outbreaks of rain continue in the far north west. Other places have a dry night with clear periods, but patchy fog returns and in places it becomes quite dense. One or two locations could also see ground frost forming by the morning.

Tomorrow: Patchy fog lifts, leaving suny spells in England and Wales. In Scotland and Northern Ireland a band of rain steadily pushes southeastwards and fragments. Temperatures remain a little above the seasonal average.

Sunday: Patchy and light spells of rain move down across northern and central England, and Wales. Generally dry to their north and south, although a few showers are possible in the northern half of Scotland.

Outlook: Most of the UK has settled weather, but there is still the possibility of rain at times in the far north. The risk of fog continues, and as temperatures start dipping the potential for frost increases.
