Tonight, wintry showers continue pushing eastwards across England and Wales. In places they could merge to give longer spells of rain, sleet and snow. Accumulating snow is most likely over high ground, in particular the Welsh mountains, Dartmoor and Exmoor, and the Peak District. The north has a cold, dry and frosty night.

Tomorrow, showery outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow push into parts of the south. A covering of snow is possible in a few places, mostly over high ground. In the rest of the UK it will be dry and bright. Cold, especially in the south and east.
