UK Met UKV, Wednesday 10th July [Tap animation to toggle cities]
Tonight, the rain in the north steadily fades away, but even by morning it isn't likely to be completely dry. The wettest conditions are expected to be in the north east. Southern Britain will be mostly dry.
Tomorrow, showers are more likely to develop in southern and central regions. Additionally, near to the south coast there is a risk of longer outbreaks of rain as an area of low pressure moves perilously close. Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland have mostly dry conditions. However, with winds coming from a northerly direction temperatures will be below the average in all areas.
UK Met UKV, Thursday 11th July [Tap animation to toggle cities]
Things remain mixed in the following days. There is a risk of showers or longer spells in southern and eastern counties, as an area of low pressure becomes centred over the North Sea. It could also bring strong winds to parts of eastern Britain. In the west it is likely to be mostly dry as high pressure starts to build in from the Atlantic. With winds generally coming from a northerly quadrant temperatures remain below the July norm.
