Showers return today but there will be bright spells too. The changeable theme continue for the next few days with areas of low pressure remaining close to the UK. However, there are signs of high pressure starting to bring more settled weather during the second half of the week. Tonight the showers steadily fade away. However, later on outbreaks of rain push across much of southern England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Tomorrow the outbreaks of rain spread northeastward. By the middle of the afternoon they are likely to be clearing from eastern England, but still affecting parts of Scotland. Showery conditions follow on behind them. In southern and central regions it will be quite warm.

During the middle of the week an area of low pressure tracks eastwards across the northern half of the UK. It keeps the showery theme in place and as it pulls away winds turn to a northerly direction. High pressure then starts to build in from the west, leading to showers becoming increasingly restricted to eastern Britain. Currently, it looks as though there should be a good deal of dry weather as the weekend approaches.
