Weather forecast discussion

Sunday starts with patchy outbreaks of rain in the north of the UK and the far south west. Elsewhere it is dry and bright.

Through the day showers continue in the north and they could become heavy at times in Scotland. There will also be some rain in the south west and for a time it may extend more widely across counties to the south of London. In central Britain it remains dry.

Temperatures range from 12°C to 20°C, with values largely depending on the amount of cloud cover and sunshine. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, showers are likely in eastern Scotland and north eastern England. Also, intermittent spells of rain push into southern England later on. Other areas will be mostly dry, although an odd shower is possible.

The mixed weather continues tomorrow. There will be bright intervals but heavy showers develop widely in England and Wales. In the south there may be longer outbreaks of rain for a time. Showery spells of rain affect Scotland, but Northern Ireland probably remains dry.
