Weather forecast discussion

Saturday starts with patchy outbreaks of rain in Wales and northern England. Elsewhere it is mostly dry, but in north western Scotland there are heavy showers.

Through the day mostly light bursts of rain push eastwards across central areas. South of the rainband, it remains dry and in any sunny spells which form it will feel quite warm. North of the rainband, sunny periods develop, however there will be heavy showers which could bring hail and thunder in places. Windy, especially in the north.

Temperatures range from 8°C in the north west to 20°C in the south east. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.
