Charts and data
Low pressure is set to dominate, bringing unsettled weather. Several spells of wet weather are likely, with only a few fully dry days in prospect.
The period begins changeable, turning unsettled around Friday 9 October.
Unusually chilly weather for October is expected, with daytime highs typically only in the upper single figures. Highs peak at only around 13°C on Sunday 4 October, which is chilly for early October. Later in the period there are signs of lows near 1°C, though that far ahead the timing is uncertain. Sheltered and rural areas may see patchy frost during clearer nights.
Some of the model output hints at gusts near 51mph later on, though timing at that range is unreliable. Rainfall totals look substantial, with around 120mm over the period.
These forecasts use interpolation to improve accuracy for your specific location, and are powered by either ECMWF or GFS model data depending on your selection. As with all weather forecasts, confidence decreases rapidly beyond 5 days ahead — treat the later dates as a heads-up about possible conditions rather than a firm prediction.
