The Halloween weather is looking very mixed with a risk of rain in parts of the UK, but it will be mild. The general theme through the rest of the week is for unsettled conditions to affect all regions as low pressure areas continue to have the upper hand. However, temperatures dip and even in the south it probably feels quite cold by Thursday.
Monday starts with showery rain in the north and west. Elsewhere it is dry.
Through the day outbreaks of rain become heavy and persistent in Northern Ireland and western Scotland. It also turns wet in much of the south and south west this afternoon. Other areas remain dry. Quite windy, especially in the north west.
Mild. Temperatures range from 12C (54F) in the north to 17C (63F) in the south east. See the rain radar for the latest view.
Tonight heavy bursts of rain steadily push northeastwards over much of the UK. By the morning showery conditions return to Northern Ireland, Wales and south western England.
Tomorrow the wet conditions clear northeastwards. However, further spells of rain push across parts of southern and central Britain. Windy in the south with a risk of gales in southern coastal counties.
During Wednesday a band of wet weather moves eastwards. There is uncertainty about its timing, but central and eastern England could remain dry until the evening. Very windy, gales are possible in much of the UK.
Thursday may start with outbreaks of rain in the south east but they should clear to leave a mix of sunny spells and showers in all areas. Feeling colder than recently.
Through Friday, Saturday and Sunday it remains unsettled. All regions have showers or longer spells of rain, but the wettest conditions generally affect the west and north. Temperatures fluctuate around the seasonal average.
