An area of wet and windy weather slowly pushes southeastwards today. To its north and south there will be sunny spells, but showers develop in the north west. Tomorrow is looking mostly dry, but through Sunday another band of rain makes its way down across the UK.

Friday starts with a band of rain stretching across northern Wales and northern England. There are also showers in the far north west, but elsewhere it is mostly dry.
Through the day the area of rain slowly pushes southeastwards. It reaches the London area by the late afternoon, but before it arrives there will be bright intervals. Areas to the north have sunny spells; however, heavy showers feed into the west. Windy.
Temperatures range from 9C (48F) in the north to 19C (66F) in the south east. See the rain radar for the latest view.
Tonight the remnants of the rain clear southeastwards. Showers continue in the north west, but in other areas clear periods develop and it becomes dry.
Tomorrow is expected to be mostly dry with sunny spells, but there will be showers in the north west. Temperatures generally close to the seasonal norm.
Through Sunday wet and windy conditions push down from the northwest. By the early evening they are likely to have reached Wales and much of northern England. The brightest skies will be in south eastern counties.
Monday is looking dry and bright in much of the UK, although there is a risk of rain in the far north. Temperatures remain close to the seasonal average.
During Tuesday outbreaks of rain push across the north west. In other areas it may stay dry. Wednesday and Thursday probably see unsettled weather returning to all areas..
