Much of the UK remains dry today but there will be showers in the west. Tomorrow showers are likely in the north west and there is a risk of rain in the far south. Early next week the mixed theme continues, but in the south there should be a reasonable amount of dry periods.

Saturday begins with showers in western Britain. Elsewhere it is dry.

Through the day showers continue to affect western areas. A few may push further inland in the north, but most parts of central and eastern Britain have a dry day. There should be quite a lot of sunshine, although later on cloudier skies push across the south.

Temperatures range from 9C (48F) in the north west to 18C (64F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Mixed next week

Monday is looking dry in most areas, although there is a risk of it turning wet in the north west. There could also be scattered showers in southern and central counties. Temperatures close to the norm.

During Tuesday a band of cloud and rain steadily pushes southeastwards. There is uncertainty about the timing of it and much of southern and eastern Britain could stay dry. Showery conditions follow into the north west. Feeling quite warm ahead of the rain.

Forecasts details for the middle part of the week are uncertain. The expectation is for changeable conditions and a risk of rain in all of the UK. However, in southern Britain there should be quite a lot of dry weather. Temperatures close to the average in the north and perhaps a little above it in the south.
