It will be cold. Temperatures range from 4C (39F) in Scotland to 8C (48F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

High pressure in charge

Sunday will be another cold day. Most places remain dry but showers affect coastal counties. A widespread frost is expected early and late, although in Scotland it may turn cloudier and milder overnight.

Monday looks dry, bright and chilly across the southern half of the UK. In the north cloud builds and outbreaks of rain push across Scotland.

Through Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday high pressure keeps the weather dry across England and Wales. Daytime temperatures edge upwards but nighttime frosts remain a risk where clear periods develop. Scotland and Northern Ireland have outbreaks of rain at times but also drier periods.

Towards the end of the week the unsettled conditions in the north steadily spread southwards.
