Unsettled and quite cold

By Tuesday showers become more scattered and mainly restricted to the east. Many inland locations have a mainly dry and bright day.

During Wednesday another batch of wet weather pushes in from the Atlantic. By the end of the day it affects much of Northern Ireland, Wales and southern England. Areas to the northeast have showers and over high ground they could fall as sleet or snow. Generally feeling cold.

Through the rest of the week rather cold and changeable weather is expected. Showers or longer periods of rain are a risk and in the north there is a chance of snow at times, especially over high ground.
