The next few days bring quieter weather to much of the UK. It will be quite chilly and there is a risk of nighttime frosts, particularly in the north. During the middle of the week it may begin to turn more unsettled again, but forecast details are uncertain....READ IN FULL
Sunday starts dry and chilly across much of the UK but there is some showery rain in Scotland. Through the day cloud and patchy rain push down into northern England and northern Wales. There could also be a few showers in southern coastal counties. Other areas remain dry and bright.
It will be quite a cold day. Temperatures range from 8C (46F) in the north to 13C (55F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight outbreaks of rain push into south eastern England. In the rest of the UK it remains mainly dry and cold with a frost in the north.

UK winter 2019/20 Update 2 [NEW]
Tomorrow rain steadily becomes more showery in the south east. Elsewhere it should be dry and bright, although more cloud is expected in the far north. After a cold start temperatures remain on the low side.

During Tuesday outbreaks of rain push into northern Scotland. Other areas have a dry day with sunny spells. It stays quite chilly.
Wednesday could bring some patchy rain to southern counties. In the north west more prolonged spells of rain probably push in from the west. It remains quite chilly.
Things become uncertain during the second half of the week. More unsettled weather could return to most areas.
