Wednesday starts dry and most of the UK will have another fine day with long sunny periods. There is the chance of isolated showers in the north and in the west there could be more cloud than yesterday.

It is likely to be the warmest day of the week. Temperatures range from 16C (61F) near the south coast to 25C (75F) in north eastern Scotland. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Summer 2019 weather [NEW]

Tomorrow a change begins to take place. High pressure becomes centred further north and that allows an easterly flow to develop. Pressure will be falling across the UK and there is an increasing chance of showers in the west and north west. Despite that many places have another fine day but it won't be as warm as today.

Change on the way

On Friday the risk of showery rain spreads across the southern half of the UK. In the south west and near the south coast there could be some heavy bursts. Northern areas probably remain drier and warmer.

The weekend is looking very mixed. All regions could have showers and in the south east they may become thundery as warm air feeds in off the continent. There will be some brighter spells around too.
