Summer 2019 weather [NEW]
Tomorrow a change begins to take place. High pressure becomes centred further north and that allows an easterly flow to develop. Pressure will be falling across the UK and there is an increasing chance of showers in the west and north west. Despite that many places have another fine day but it won't be as warm as today.
GFS, rain, 16:00 BST Thu 16th May
On Friday the risk of showery rain spreads across the southern half of the UK. In the south west and near the south coast there could be some heavy bursts. Northern areas probably remain drier and warmer.
The weekend is looking very mixed. All regions could have showers and in the south east they may become thundery as warm air feeds in off the continent. There will be some brighter spells around too.
